Thanks, Jimmy. I found that my local Woolies do a multi-purpose, all-weather, repair tape for £1.99. Hopefully it'll do the job - I'm sure to post again on it if it doesn't! :o)
Sad that I'm going to be spending the winter worrying about a sheet of plastic! :o)
