Cheers Jimmy. I like that saying - I'm hoping to prove it true :o)
'Fox and Cubs' is a great little plant isn't it?! Reading again that link I gave I see that on Skye it is a garden escape, so I'll have to check to see how generally widespread it is.
We'll have to warn each other of impending weather movements (although I should think more come down from your way, than up from mine) :o)
We get Marsh Harriers where I am (or nearby at least) so I'll have to keep an eye on the link you gave -thanks.
The whitebeam's the true star, I agree. The best set of berries yet according to allotment 'long-timers' I've talked to.
Good luck with the hedge trimmers!
I'm meaning to talk more on the old veg varieties over the next few days - keep watching!
Golden Wonder Crisps, of course! Now why didn't I think of them? :o)
