Hi Tim,
Do you have storm wind there that the timber shifted across?
Too bad from your broccoli's -I wonder, are there broccoli on the plants now? I never had broccoli in my garden :o)

Kind Regards,
Rita

Hi Rita, Jimmy! Apologies for the time it's taking me of late to respond to comments - those January blues again :o(

No actual broccoli buds as yet, no, but what with this mild weather (he talks biting his lip, as we've 'wintery showers' forecast for here tomorrow :o) ) I'm keeping a close eye on them!

The water butt still languishes back at home, I'm afraid to admit, but last time I looked it was 3/4 full, and that's standing alone with no down-pipe attached. This coming season I'll have to rely again on the water-points at the allotment, and hope that a hose-pipe ban is all that ensues (again) :o)

No bird-rings as yet unearthed at the plot, but I'll keep an eye out - I'm still hoping that my nephew might get to bring up the metal detector he got brought for Xmas, which should prove fun :o)

Silver fish! Great creatures! I remember them from my youth, and our rather damp council house bathroom - lifting up the toilet mat was a sure-fire way of finding them - quick movers and impossible to pick up with fingers. I've not spotted them as yet around the old compost heap, but I'll be sure to keep an eye out and report back - I'd love to see them again!

Best Regards Both!

Tim :o)x
