Hi Tim,

BY CHANCE :o)
Yesterday evening I looked to the past year of your plot and I thought how much work you already had done in just one year time.
Very much anyway :o)
And I am sure it wil be finished this year. Well done Timothy !!

Goosberry's
She sees good - I am curious if the gooseberry will already carry fruit this year?

Best Regards,
Rita :o)

(I'll break with tradition and follow (unashamedly for effect :oP)with today's view of the entire plot) You may - Ilove this vieuw :o)

Dear Mr Luddite

I am at odds with you over mechanisation. Not noise, just mechanisation. I trimmed all my shrubbery and more with a £5 bargain hedge trimmer and when I consider the time I saved I have to say I am a convert.

On the other hand I can empathise with your views and would go out of my way to avoid annoying my neighbours. Indeed I do!

So it is with ambivalence that I take my hat off to you on your resolve to continue the self inflicted cross of manual labour in your endeavours to cultivate the life giving soil which also gives us tools.

Enough, you seem to be getting on great with the allotment and I have to admit you have made a big difference from the time you took the first picture to date.

I too have been gardening but of a very different type - painting my rather long fence. I have done it with a paintbrush before, and it took all summer. This time I am using a roller and have done about half in a day. Ah mechanisation.

I am on holiday this week so I may or may not be around so if you get no comments it is quite possible I am off somewhere. One of the somewheres I have always wanted to go to is the Hydroponicum, Achiltibuie,Wester Ross. I want to see just how good it is though it is a long way off.

Keep up the good work and I read it all.

Regards
Jimmy
