Good idea for the toms. Next time I'm up at the plot, I'll do as you say.

You've not heard of global warming then? :o) They truly were 'sweet to eat' as they were, that's to say, raw (something I didn't know until recently).

Yes, I've seen a few (more snails than slugs though) and I fear for next spring (when their young will get going) :o(

I'm thinking if my plastic-compost-bin-on-bricks idea doesn't work, to dedicate an area of the border L-bed for a more traditional hiber-n.
