Amazing what seeds will do to survive and grow. I found a self seeded sunflower in one of my small pots which are fastened to the fence last year. The seed must have been dropped by a bird.
Yes, self-sown seedlings are great to come across. The ones that amaze me most are tomatoes which I have had come up by themselves outside the last couple of springs!
Hi Jimmy!
Great to have you back on board, so to speak. Cheers regards the photos. I've actually not been up to the plot half as much as I would like (Only nine posts this April, as opposed to 41 in 2007!)
I'm hoping to make a start again on the hibernaculum next time I'm up there by emptying it of the compost that's currently occupying it (Carefully as I expect something may well have already checked it out as a possible home).
6 kales are 6 more brassicas you have growing than me this year, as I've decided to concentrate on growing plants for insects rather than veg. Various reasons.
No, I've not yet 'dabbled', not trusting myself to get too technical with things. Have you found it an improvement on the microsoft OS?
I was only staring into a 3 metre wide wood ant nest the other day! Do you get them this size in Scotland?
