your allotment gets so much more care and effort than mine ever will, I fear as it is thus far nonexistent this year. if all goes according to plan c -- I should begin working on it thursday. right now, we've just decided to move it over about 20 feet from where it was originally planned to go. so much for planning things out and being on top of things. :-) I can't wait to see what green miracles your plot produces. cheers :-)

Hi Kat! Cheers for posting (Kat's a co-host of one of the TEALA internet groups I started last year).

I'm lucky I guess in having plenty of free time at present to give it extra thought and time. If I had to fit it one top of a regular job things might well be different. I'm glad though that I seem to be keeping up the momentum with it.

My first 'miracle' will be seeing the back of this awful black plastic! Starting next week come rain or shine! :o)

Best Regards,
Tim :o)x

Hi Jimmy (the internet certainly helps to bolster my often limited knowledge :o) I do like that latin name for them I discovered whilst looking them up - Trombidium holosericeum - one I should remember :o) ).

>What on earth are you feeding them with?

They're all recently potted on (or potted up in the case of the potato) into fresh multi-purpose compost which comes ready fertilised (from environmentally stable sources, I hope - one of those areas I intend to be more careful of in the future). Good ol' Baby Bio (which is made from seaweed extract and is organic, I believe) has so far been my main 'added extra' in the past :o)

> I once managed to get a cheese plant to flower

Great stuff! I've not yet come across a Monstera deliciosa in flower (one latin name I have been able to remember :o) ).

Best!
