Hi Jimmy. Yeah, sorry about that :o) I thought that you'ld find me okay though. It dawned on me (when working on the Allotment Association blog - see my profile) that I didn't need the 'chronicles' bit on the url. Makes it shorter and more straightforward when telling folk about it.

The great day happened on the 24th (look for the :o) as a post title) and I'm fairly pleased with the results. I'm finding it much easier to turn over without having the grass roots to contend with - plenty of the other target perennials are still there though :o(

One other allotment holder witnessed the moment I began to 'unwrap' the plot. Not much of an occasion after all (I'm glad to say) :o)

I took my first can of the brown stuff up there this evening. I'm thinking I enjoyed my flask of tea as much though :o)

I mean this year to make a study of the insects and other bugs that visit the site - a beefly is one of those that I hope to recognise when I see it from reading about them in the past. I can't say that I've had the luck to notice them before.

Glad to know that you found me again - no more tinkering with the url, I cross my heart! :o)

Best Regards,
Tim :o)x
