Potted up 3 chives (Sown 14.03.08) into 7cm plastics. Potted up 3 garlic chives (Sowed 11.03.08) into 9cm plastics. Potted up 12 celery 'Par-cel' (Sown 14.03.08) into assorted 9cm plastics.
Yes, I took a guess with the 'common' wasp. It looked on the small size, which made me think it wasn't a 'german', but that might only be because it's an early one.
I would of liked to see a photo of that bicycle image! :)
Only a very light dusting did we get down here again this year (I remember 2m drifts in my early youth) and we can be pretty sure now that ground frosts are behind us in east Kent. On the downside though, it means that the aphids are already getting going :(
Cheers for the photos compliment. I'm still using the same camera that I started with (a Nikon CoolPix 4600). My trick is that I take several pics of the same subject (often pre-fixing the focal length) and chose the best.
See my 'Butterfly Dreams' post for the latest (at time of writing) on the hibernaculum.
I might grow something 'dense' along the back fence when I finally get to it (next spring maybe).
Yes, comments are on the sparse side again - maybe it's because I take so long to answer them!
