Hi Jimmy!

> you must be terribly lucky or be very, very patient

Just lucky and a little patient. These lizards of mine seem to be pretty much trusting, if I don't make too many sudden movements, that is!

> Your toadstool looks interesting

I keep meaning to spend some real time looking into it's identity. Once upon I time, I think, I would of been able to give a good guess right off. Not these days..

The Biderbeck Affair

Yeah, that rings some faint bells. Most folks I've talked about it up at the allotments share your view. A sad refection on modern times down south, I think.

77 in all. They've risen from the original 64 since our allotment association decided to start to split in half plots such as mine. At a guess I'd say overall the allotment site is medium-large for the south of England (i.e. I've seen ones twice the size at least).

> a great way to meet people of all ages with a similar interest.

Definitely, although sadly unsurprisingly I've met more that get my teeth discreetly grinding in my head (i.e. those chemical-heads who don't read the instructions and spray insecticides around during the day and in windy weather - like the one I saw today)) :(

The Saxons tasted good. I'm only beginning to start differentiating between them, but I'd say it's taste/texture was average for a new potato.
