Principle Tasks: Drinking cups of tea. Sieving compost and adding as a mulch to the asparagus bed. Lifting a geranium and a bear's breeches from the border L-bed and replanting in the allotment car-park picnic area. Moving the last of the poached egg plants to the other end of veg bed 04. Continuing digging in the clover in vb01.

# 1338A 7-Spot Ladybird (Coccinella septempunctata) sunning itself (Yes, sunning itself!) on an old flower-spike of the Bear's Breeches (Acanthus spinosa). We've had it cold, wet and dull here for, well, forever..

Principle Tasks: Planting out the seven 'Buttercrunch' lettuces that I sowed on the 21st of Feb, and have had growing on under bottletop cloches, into veg bed 2. Inter-sowed three drills of parsnip 'Tender and True' between them. Planted out the 10 pre-chitted potato 'Colleen' potatoes. Erecting 'seed bed protector' cloche above today's veg sowings and plantings. Planting out the rescued acanthus into the border L-bed.
