How the wildlife pond is getting on. 60cm (The minimum depth I've read to be sure of avoiding freezing solid in winter) seems really deep! Putting in the split-cane edging now seemed a good idea.

Planted out three coriander plants (sown ?) into VB01 (between the spuds). Planted out a 'Tondo' marrow (sown ?) into VB04 (between the sadly wind-blown globe artichokes).

Total Allotment Time: 2hrs.
Principle Task: Applying two 100l bags of B&Q Organic Soil Improver as a mulch onto the border L-bed and VB04. Planting out 3 American land cress (sown 22.02.07) into VB04. Planting out 3 coriander (sown 13.03.07) into VB01. Planting out a 'Tondo' marrow (sown 09.03.07?) into VB04.

Principle Task: Planting out 10 'First Early Orla' seed potatoes (I fear the soil was still too wet and cold to do this, but as many others around the allotments have begun to plant theirs, I couldn't resist). Sowed one 7cm half-pot of sweet basil.
Potted up the marrow 'Tondo' (sown 09.03.07) into a 20cm pot.
