# 1363# 1362I'm really pleased with the quality of the compost in the first bin of the year to be turned out. I had to sieve it though to remove the larger bits (See in second photo). Notice also the spotted deadnettle (Lamium maculatum) in the top photo. Looking good I think.

# 1359My annual 'fingers-crossed' over whether or not the elfin herb (Cuphea hyssopifolia) has made it over the winter.

Principle Tasks: Sieving compost and adding as a mulch to the gate end of the border herb and flower bed.

Principle Tasks: Planting out marjoram and veronica into border L-bed. Cutting back old growth of the vervain. Adding 4 bags (£10's worth) of organic garden compost to the border L-bed. Forking over soil in preparation of continuing construction of the second veg/fruit bed.
