# 2221A lesson learnt. Don't mulch a seedbed with compost that's had ants in it as birds just love their eggs! It took me ages to un-bury the majority of the seedlings :)

# 2163Sowed 1 row of lettuce 'Little Gem', 2 rows cabbage 'Greyhound' (Not sure why I sowed these as re-reading the packet they should be sown Feb - April, doh!), 1 row cabbage 'Red Drumhead', 1 row lettuce 'Marvel of Four Seasons', 2 rows Kohl Rabi 'Green Delicacy' and 1 row radish 'French Breakfast'.

# 1762Total Allotment Time: 4 & 1/2 hrs.
Principle Tasks: Sowing 1 row each of radish 'Purple Plum'*, 'Cherry Belle'* and 'French Breakfast'. Sowing three rows of spinach 'Samish F1' and 1 row of spring onion 'White Lisbon'*. Transplanting 14 self-sown seedlings of American land cress from veg bed 02 into vb03. Continuing digging in the clover in vb01. Finishing mulching the gooseberries with Tunstall's Organic Soil Improver (4 x 60l for £4.50 each).

* Old out-of-date seeds.
