Digging Deep

# 1147.15
How the wildlife pond is getting on. 60cm (The minimum depth I've read to be sure of avoiding freezing solid in winter) seems really deep! Putting in the split-cane edging now seemed a good idea.

# 1147.14Well worth the leaving.. the patch of Field Beans (Vicia faba) along the border L-bed.. Mr bee agrees! :o)

# 1147.13An unexpected harvest. I had decided to resist the temptation to try the rhubarb this second year, but in my endeavors to build the pond I unwittingly broke a leaf or two.. temptation enough!

# 1147.12The seven 'Medania' spinaches from yesterday prior to planting out in veg bed 02. The existing plant is a self-seeded coriander.

# 1147.11Overkill? How they, the 'Ice King' lettuces and 'Parmex' carrots looked after 'protection'.

Total Allotment Time: 4 hrs.
Principle Tasks: Continuing construction of the wildlife pond. Planting out above mentioned seedlings. Hand-weeding.
