Principle Tasks: Planting 16 pot marigolds around the runner beans in veg bed 02. Mulching the potatoes in vb04 with blended stable manure. Sowing 2 rows of pea 'Oregon Sugar Pod' and 2 rows of dwarf French bean 'Top Crop'. Tending seed beds. General weeding and watering.

Principle Joys: Moving a compost bin. Starting to mulch this year's potatoes with home-produced compost. General weeding and watering.

Principle Tasks: Harvesting 'Russian Red' kale. Continuing to dig in the clover in veg bed 01. Sowing one row of lettuce 'Marvel of Four Seasons' in vb02. Continuing mulching the border L-bed. Planting 10 pre-chitted potato 'Lady Balfour'.
