Slow Growing?

# 1098.31
Or the canniest two around? The vervain (far corner) and the lemon balm (near). Winter seems to keep coming back! We had a dusting of snow over the weekend, and it's forecast to fall below zero again tonight. Clever plants for not falling for the sunny spells!

One of the photos I submitted tonight to the Kent Wildlife Trust's Gardening Award Scheme 2008. My finger's are crossed! :o)

How the freshly sieved topsoil from the 'cold end' (the end which receives the least sun and should therefore hopefully not be the main home to the wildlife) of the old compost heap (see towards top of photo) looked spread out on veg bed 02. How healthy soil should look: nice n' dark! Tomorrow I hope to start on creating the purpose-built reptile habitat.

My favourite view of the plot (and about the best 'entire' I can get for now seeing as how I'm currently without a panorama/photo-stiching program - about time I looked into getting a new one!) :o)

Total Allotment Time: 2 & 1/2hrs.
Principle Tasks: Sieving the soil from the old compost heap and spreading 5cm deep (approx) onto veg bed 02.
