Principle Tasks: Sowing 1 row each of radish 'Purple Plum'*, 'Cherry Belle'* and 'French Breakfast'. Sowing three rows of spinach 'Samish F1' and 1 row of spring onion 'White Lisbon'*. Transplanting 14 self-sown seedlings of American land cress from veg bed 02 into vb03. Continuing digging in the clover in vb01. Finishing mulching the gooseberries with Tunstall's Organic Soil Improver (4 x 60l for £4.50 each).

Principle Tasks: Planting out spring veg into VB03. Planting out the pot of onion 'Paris Silver Skinned' I sowed on the 24th Feb into top end of VB01 (next to the broad beans).

Principle Tasks: Planting out the aforementioned radishes and covering them with fleece as pictured. Planting out red shallot 'Pikant' sets (20+ (I managed to 'break a few up' as you would garlic bulbs to get a few more than the 20 in the £1.29 packet) into veg bed 01. Adding 6 marigold seedlings and the multi-sown 'White Lisbon' spring onion that I brought up from home to the pre-fab cloche near the rhurbarb.

Notes: Average soil temp of veg bed 01 = +5c
