00710Total Allotment Time: 2hrs.
Principle Tasks: Erecting the trellis and planting the sweet peas against it (Nb. I've tried to gradually 'harden them off' over these last days/nights). Clipping grass along front of the border L-bed with hand shears. Giving the newly-planted asparagus crowns a drink (around 8 cans worth).

Hi Jimmy. Thanks go to the late Geoff Hamilton (good man he was) who suggested multi-sowing early veg in pots in Feb (including root crops). A tip mostly directed towards the south of england, I think. I really must plant out those turnips I have on the go tomorrow, as I'm sadly already behind in things.. that damned greenhouse is to blame! Yes, now that it's 'coming together' I wonder why I was so worried over it. In good ol' hindsight it's indeed far less complicated :o)

My pro-luddite post was intended to be somewhat tongue-in-cheek - didn't I mention then about my car trips to the plot? My main point being, that when things can be done another way, with less negative effects on others (ie. no unarguably awful racket) and postive ones to us (ie. gentle exercise), why choose another?

Cheers for looking up the radishes. Not sure though if your Q & R relpy was simply taking the piss? Maybe I should be more subtle in the future when 'fishing for comments' :o)

Best Regards,
Tim

Hi Tim,
radishes hmmm nice - I have no idea if radish leaves are edible for us , I give them to the guinea-pigs and the rabbits and they love it.
Moonbase Alpha - and no birds allowed :o) ~~ it's also a well idea for the strawberries.

Thanks Tim for the panoramic view,it is indeed my faforiete angle :o)

Btw.It is good that things have gotten better.

Best Regards and Hugs,
